David Pullen's Snuff Box

Brass snuff box in the form of a heart with the owner's name, David Pullen, inscribed on the lid. Apparently David liked to hunt as evidenced by the folky presentation of a horse and rider and the inscription "HUNTING". The box itself is probably of English origin. The first Pullen family members in America date back to 1681 in Maryland. Size - 3 3/4".

Paint Decorated Document Box

19th century PA hand dovetailed document box made of poplar. Excellent original red painted surface with black pin striping and the letters H. R. in yellow. Original undisturbed snipe wire hinges and bail. The latch for the lock is missing. Width - 12 1/2", Depth - 6 1/2", Height - 5".

Native American Elm Burl Bowl

Large Native American elm burl bowl from the Eastern Great Lakes region, possibly made by the Ojibwa tribe. The bowl dates to the 1720-1750 period and exhibits a wonderful flared form and a surface that speaks to it's age. This rare Native American piece is in pristine overall condition. Length (at the top) - 18", Width (at the top) - 13". Height - 6".

New England Tole Tray

Large tin toleware serving tray with heart cutout handles and yellow cartouche pin-striping. Crisp colors of red, yellow, green and cream on a black ground. Circa 1840.

Early Shaker Maple Sieve

Mid 19th century Shaker sieve made of maple in original red lipstick paint with a finely woven reed strainer. This piece is in a wonderful state of preservation with no losses to the circular maple painted frame or the woven strainer. It was found in Lowell, Massachusetts but most likely is of New Hampshire origin.
